Over 2000 years ago, a crowd lined the streets of Jerusalem to witness Jesus riding a donkey. He was celebrated as a hero. The people shouted "Hosanna!" which I found one dictionary to say is a Hebrew blessing--kind of like applauding someone. In my imagination, the translation into today's time would be like a new celebrity (sort of unknown yet) walking (not riding in a limo) into Hollywood and being swarmed by the paparazzi and adoring fans. Weird to think of it that way. But the crowds were fickle then as they are today. Read Matthew 11:1-11. The crowds asked of Jesus, "Who is this?"
I'm thankful, though, that Jesus didn't waver on his journey to death on a cross and his resurrection. The victory he won for us gives Sandra and us hope today. Sandra has had a difficult week as she is slipping from this life on earth bit by bit. In the hard times, what gives us hope is that Sandra relaxes and responds to reading of the Bible and talk of heaven. Those are the most peaceful times, resting in the Jesus who saves.
Please continue to pray for peace and comfort for Sandra as we continue to hope in Jesus, our only comfort in life and in death.

A message of love and appreciation

Just wanting to tell you what a tremendous blessing your life and testimony are to us. We want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. When I awoke this morning, my first thought was of you!
I thought you would be happy to know that Rob ("Robby") is singing in a choir this Easter weekend.... Schubert's Mass is G ... the tenor solo for "Benidictus," and with Trinity Western's chamber choir, and also with a new youth chamber choir "Oculus," and also with the BC youth choir. He will audition for a part in the national youth choir on May long weekendm and if selected, will got to Nova Scotia next year to sing in the national youth choir. How well I remember Robby coming home in grade 2 to say, "I tried to sing harmony in lunch hour choir, and my friend said I wasn't singing the right note!" But you, precious Sandra, allowed him the liberty to experiment, find his own voice. And now, he thinks he will like to pursue a master's degree, maybe even PhD in music. I want to tell you what an amazing positive influence you have been in encouraging our son (and so many others) to find his voice and use it to glorify God. And to the rest of us, you remind us to use our life... our words....our career... our passion, everything we ae and have, to glorify God.
We want you to know how much we appreciate you and your life testimony of God's grace. We want you to know how much we thank God for you. We want you to know that we are praying for you daily, and that our faith is strengthened by your example of living life for the glory of God.
