The patient writes...

Yeah! I get to do the next posting and I'm thrilled to be able to chat with you all. First of all, thank you so much for your prayers, cards, visits, encouragement and support over the last week, and before. Thanks for being there and walking along beside me. I have felt God's love and care through all of you. It's in the hard times that the prayers of God's people become so real and so vital!! I can't believe it's been a week since surgery and I am feeling so good already! Prayers have certainly been answered over and over again. I have taken no pain medication for the last 24 hours!!! Though I am sitting in bed writing this blog I am able to get up and walk around the house occasionally. I've thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine streaming in through my bedroom window, although I think it's hiding at the moment.
OK - I'm going to have to stop for now. I had big plans to do all sorts of things today: read, do a sudoku, write in my journal, maybe knit a row or two, email, etc., etc. That's me - always planning a big list of things to do but I'm quickly running out of steam. Time for a little nap before lunch. Continue to pray for peace and calm, gentle healing of the wound (the skin is a little sore and very sensitive), and continued strength and energy.
Love you all.

Sandra

  1. Woohoo! Good to hear from you, Sandra. Is someone with you all the time, or are you on your own for periods of the day?
I hope the nap was good and you get to get some of your list done. I guess there is something nice about a list that has no "must dos" on it. Again, I hope to see you soon. Have a great day!

  2. Yippee...so good to hear from you in person on your blog. I hope you have some success from your list...only because then you can cross them off!! And, there is such pleasure in that. (I know...I lead a bit of a sad existence!). Looking forward to hanging out tomorrow. Do you need me this afternoon at all?

Have a great afternoon...I'm about to head outside for duty and the sun is certainly shining out here. Snowcovered Mt. Cheam in the sunshine is hard to beat:).

    Love,
    Jeanette

Jeanette told me about the potential plans for tomorrow night! Count me in...it sounds like fun! I can't think of what I'd rather do more!
Enjoy the rest of your day!

  5. Hey Sandra,
It's 6:30 and the student-leds are in full swing. Lots of families being led around by their kids. High school students are here too promoting their upcoming drama presentation - selling tickets. They have a promotional video running again, and again, and again. I've got the music memorized! The book fair is in full swing too - it's a very active place here right now. I got your yogurt and napkins, so right after this I'll drop by so expect me at about 8ish.

  6. Sandra,
Ardie is doing a great job on this blog, but it is even GREATER to read a post by YOU!!! I am so glad to hear that you are doing so well.

    Hey, just a thought...
When I write a to-do list, I usually do it at the end of the day, and just write down all the stuff that I accomplished that day... then I can cross it ALL off! I go to bed feeling really good about myself!!!!
Hope to see you soon. Have a wonderful weekend ☺
    Love and prayers,
    ♥ Sarah
